  5. helloworld says:

A customer installs a wireless access point at home in the closet next to the kitchen. The customer mentions that the wireless communication performance seems degraded when the cordless phone or the microwave oven is in use. What is the possible reason for this degradation?

    • helloworld says:

The access point is close to walls.
The cordless phone joins the WLAN and shares the available bandwidth.
The wireless signal is in the same radio frequency range as the household devices are in.
The access point is on the same electrical circuit as the phone base unit and microwave oven are.
The surge of electricity when a microwave oven is in use disrupts the operation of the access point.

  7. Here’s the questions my test had.

    From the test posted by admin questions 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 (but altered), 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. Questions 3, 7, 16, 17, 18 are not used anymore.
From the New questions posted by Kat the actuial new one’s are 2, 3, 6, and 12
And the question from helloworld is new

The answers for the new questions are:
    2
What is a purpose of the physical layer in data communication?
to convert a frame into a series of signals to be transmitted on the local media
    3
Compared with UTP cable, what extra characteristic of STP cable helps reduce the effects of interference?
Above answer wrong! The names of UTP and STP are Unshielded Twisted Pair and Shielded Twisted Pair.
the metal braiding in the shielding

    Is it “coax cable” ?
    Or “rollover cable” ?
    or crossover cable ?
    or straight-through cable?

    Which one is it?
